Today over at CMU it was my turn to set the challenge - so I chose 'Shoes'. This is my first time setting a challenge, so hope it goes well. Here is my card for the challenge - I made it using freebies. The paper and shoe template were free downloads (I've had them ages and can't remember where I got them from!). Coloured shoes with gel pens and 3d on card, hand wrote the words and again 3d and put bubble sticker over centre words to finish.
Caardvarks challenge this time is to use chipboard on the card front. For this card I used the cuttlebug bubbles embossing folder for the mat and to cover the numbers, decorative punch around the backing paper, 3 bottle champange candles which I cut to make lay flat. Added envelope and tag, rub-on and 3d sticker to finish.
At last I have got around to making a card!! CMU challenge is for windows or doors. So here is my interpration. You pull up the blind to reveal the dog in the window. I used Anitas stamp for the dog, bazzill frames for the window and D's stamp for the greeting and paw prints.
I've been neglecting my crafting - well been so busy really, I have to be in the mood to create! Hopefully I will have something to show soon. But anyway I just popped on here to say that I won the CB August challenge which was for making a recycled card (it's further back in my posts). It was just a competition and no more, there was only two of us that entered LOL. Shame really 'cause I thought it was a fab challenge and I really enjoyed doing it.
I haven't anything new to show because I haven't made anything this week - but just found out today that I won the CMU recycle challenge - yipee! I did enjoy that challenge - making something new from old. Hopefully I will have something to show soon!
My printer and graphics card when down at the weekend, so I was feeling quite sorry for myself. So of I went into town this morning and got myself a nice new printer and ordered a graphics card (am using a friends one at the mo!). Came home and did all the installing things you have to do and yes it is up and running well. Then I logged onto the net and just found out that I have won the PCJ 'Who are our Family' challenge 4. Well, I am so chuffed that I won with that card - made my day, yippee! :)
I made this card last night for the Caardvark sticker challenge - yes, you guessed it! Make a card using stickers. I used Anna Griffin backing paper,ric-rac border, black sticker letters and 'make a wish' sticker. The little flowers are Papermania stickers. Central flowers, H & B stickers and beads all from local craft shop.
PCJ challenge for this week was 'Who are our family?' Took me a while to figure out what I was going to do!!! When I scrapped my mums album, my son asked me who this old gentleman was in the photo and I explained all details - your great, great grandfather etc. He loves this photo and says he looks like a proper old english gentleman in it. Ah! So anyway for his birthday I thought I would make him this - it is meant to look vintage old fashioned and worn. The tags have all the details recorded on the back and the photo lifts up to reveal details also.
CMU challenge this time around is to do a card using recycled item. Here is my contribution, The moon is stamped on a section of plastic milk carton and matted onto handmade paper. The Happy Birthday is also stamped onto milk carton and garden cord used as tie. The word Raspberry and the Quote are both off a bubble bath bottle. Then I added little cutey raspberry buttons to embellish. I am pretty pleased with this card - it makes me smile, I love the quote.
